Love how the latest arc in the manga is also kind of a promo for this arc in the anime [Spoiler]since they randomly brought back the Kitos and we get our first Evil Eye apperance in ages. Though it’ll probably a while before we see them again considering how it ended

This episode adapted the rest of chapter 34 as well as chapter 35-38.

  • Sound direction is on point just like S1.
  • As great as the art in the manga is, the choreography isn't as good. And man, the choreography with Momo fighting was top-notch.
  • I really liked the anime original addition of Okarun's powers leaking out when he loses control. It really shows even more he is not in the right state of mind.

Man, this episode and whole arc is gonna be a healthy reminder of how [current manga spoiler]utter pieces of shit the Kitos are and how they deserve nothing but misfortune in life. They became allies in the most recent arc, but I really hope that won't be the case again going forward. Especially since they themselves immediately tried to screw the gang over after their truce ended. That didn't seem to be the last we've seen of them, but I hope there's an actual bad ending waiting in store for them.

The part of the OP when Okarun and Momo run in the tunnel and they run past some shadow with color-coded representing the enemy they have to fight this season [Manga Spoiler]as yellow for the Death Worm, Purple for Evil Eye, Gray for the Musical Portraits, and Green for Kaiju, which is the only sign of Vamola-ish appearance so far

Is it just me or did this feel really... compressed? A lot of the big impactful spreads in the manga really didn't have the space to breathe here. And I'm really not a fan of the Kitos being grey-skinned, yellow-eyed creatures, what made them scariest was that they were or could pass for nornal citizens ruling over their village through purely mundane means. Feels like a step down from S1 so far.

The goat Kingta in ED has me pumped for the rest of the season.

I'm loving how fast paced this episode is yet it doesn't feel like it's going to speed run this arc.

I wonder how many people in this thread genuinely think the Kito's are just normal people stylized to look weird. Like, grey skin, glowing yellow eyes, and black blood? C'mon.

Did they remove [Manga Spoiler] The gruesome suicides of all the Kito's and replace them with just getting eaten? That's a damn shame, that's where the majority of the dread I got from that scene came from
