So Mash is now some sort of big shot, which left Ortega and Gaia as space junkers? It's weird to see the Black Tri-Stars reduced to a duo.

Welp, I didn't expect to see Machu sunbathing this episode but if that's her way of coping after what happened last episode, I approve. Also, can I just say Annqi looks so goddamn fine? I already can't wait for the fanarts this episode will generate. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I don't know if anyone else noticed this but if you look closely at the core of the Kira-Kira [0079]you can see the outline of Lalah's dress. I don't know if I'm just seeing things, but someone else mentioned this over on r/Gundam.

Love seeing more slice of life moments with Machu. I especially love the shot of Machu and Nyaan at the laundromat. It gives me very strong summer "lo-fi and chill" vibes.

I love how much a feverish Shuuji could make Machu blush so hard. What I didn't expect is Nyaan blushing too! Holy shit, I did not expect this would end up becoming a Love Triangle! Nyaan even went as far as taking her clothes off to feel what Shuuji was feeling. Of course, Machu can't be outdone and had to do it too.

Man, if Char is really inside the Red Gundam the dude is having the time of his life with two young girls and a twink lying on him. xD

Yes, Machu! Kamille would be proud! Make sure that guy won't have any future children anymore for harassing refugees! I didn't think that would end with Xavier cornering Machu and Nyaan piloting the GQuuuuuux tho. At least Machu is off the hook.

I knew Shuuji was sick the entire time. Seeing him blushing earlier didn't look normal, and now Nyaan is all on her own dealing with Ortega and Gaia.

There it is! Of course, all three of our protagonists are Newtypes! I honestly would be more surprised if Nyaan wasn't a Newtype. I didn't think she'd go psycho though! Using Shuuji to block the rocket and have him counterattack is insane! Char/Red Gundam seems to approve tho!

I guess I shouldn't be surprised to see Nyaan go wild after tasting a little bit of power, considering how much she's been oppressed her entire life.

Awww, Machu now feels her special connection with Shuuji is gone. I guess she didn't realize that Nyaan was piloting the GQuuuuuux until that final reveal at the end. It is concerning to see Haro terrified of Nyaan though. I really hope Nyaan doesn't turn into the Char Clone of this series.

Even when spontaneously stripping to her underwear, Machu still makes sure to fold her clothes properly before lying down on the Red Gundam.

Nyaan just tosses her clothes to the side. lol

Machu may constantly think she's being rebellious, but she's still a good girl at heart.

Machu is an upper middle class girl who grumbles at her mother (who does everything she can for her), goes to a fancy school, just wants "freedom" from her upper middle class life, doesn't face any particular hardship, has a crush on the Bohemian art boy and latches onto other's dreams. For all of her glowering she's following the teenager script to a T, which is part of what makes her being in this situation so interesting.

Meanwhile Nyaan is the real deal. Life has made a concerted effort to tear her down. Yet she's somehow been the more genteel one just because being crushed underfoot is her life.

Love this dynamic. Especially love how I feel like it's going to explode in their faces before they come to a new equilibrium.

Also love how Nyaan totally scarred Harro. She stomped on him so much he actually ran away.

Machu may constantly think she's being rebellious, but she's still a good girl at heart.

It is the Japanese social ideal. Reality is a different matter, but Japanese society expects even acts of rebellion to follow rules. It's like that one Yakuza civil war were many gang members were killed, but both sides intentionally avoid hurting civilians because that was how they were tolerated.

It's also probably why she's the MC and Nyaan isn't. Machu is going to end up being the character we can most trust in piloting a Gundam and not going off the rails with it.

The Black Tri-Stars were once again torn apart by a Gundam...in both the symbolic and literal sense.

You don't even need water to get swimsuit fanservice! And it's very welcomed with Machu and Annqi. All we were missing was Nyaan in a swimsuit (minus her underwear scene).

These girls are both thirsty for Shuji and he's barely even lifting a finger outside piloting the Red Gundam. Though I feel like it would've been fairer if Shuji had taken his clothes off too.
