Tomorrow will be the 30th anniversary of when 103.1 The Buzz launched in West Palm Beach. I worked there for 8 years and when I run into anyone that knows that, the first thing they tell me is how much they miss the station. If you’re a South Florida kid looking for a kick to the face with nostalgia, it’s back for the holiday weekend.

Starting tomorrow July 3rd at 1pm and running until July 6th. There will be music and check ins from some of the former DJ’s. No commercials. Just some fun and memories. DM for the login info if you long for a time where your lower back and knees didn’t hurt. 💙📻🎶

In direee need of good live music spots (jazz/funk preferred)!! Open to out of county suggestions, but tired of going down to Miami😩

I'm in a look for an actual artist in the sense of drawing and understanding proportions, paneling etc. There doesn't seem to one in florida or just artists in general to work along for projects. Armory art center despite the name does various kinds of art but the hand draw or digital variety I'm looking for.

It really is starting to feel like Twlight Zone where you're a creative looking with other creatives and they're no where to be found. Like, anything reguarding comic art is non-existant. Some let me know if I'm unaware of some kind of law on fiction that florida--I know a few but I don't those would like hard kill any aspiring artists for degrees in some way.

I have no issues with paying them but I can't pay them if theres none in the area to contact.

Can anyone help me?

Does anyone know if there’s a good way to watch/listen to the upcoming festival on the 14th without buying tickets? Maybe recommendations for a beach/ building to listen from?

Has anyone bought the VIP access? Specifically the “party like a rockstar“ package? I know it includes access to rooftop lounge and private bars and what not but I’m wondering if people hang out there to watch the show and if the view is actually better than sitting in the front of section 5 or not. Basically just trying to get an idea of what that vibe is like if it’s worth the extra money.

Possibly moving to Florida from Atlanta this fall. I’m currently on an intermediate level salsa team here and I’m concerned that if I move that I won’t find another team and I’ll lose my progress.

Does anyone know of teams (not just studios but specifically studios with competitive or show teams) around the West Palm or Fort Lauderdale areas? I’d prefer not to drive to Miami but I would if I had to I guess…

Headed to the Kid Cudi show in West Palm Beach this weekend and I’ll be around Friday night + Saturday night. Figured it’d be cool to meet some other Cudi fans to hang before or after the concert — grab food, hit a bar, walk around, vibe, whatever .

since moving back to west palm a few years ago, i’ve unfortunately noticed how many few clubs & events are geared towards lesbians, queer people & sapphics.

i really would love to start a book club, specifically on educational topics (lgbtq history, poli sci, mental health, memoirs/non fiction), but also i think fun palate cleansers would be nice to throw in (like romance or fantasy or thrillers)!

i would like for it to be inclusive of anyone who’d like to join, i’d just really love to meet other likeminded sapphic bookworms like me who share progressive views & love to learn. please comment or dm if you might be interested & maybe ill start up a discord server if we garner enough interest!

I recently moved down here and am in Juno Beach. Does anyone have reasonably priced (semi-cheap?!) piano teacher recommendations in the area for at-home lessons? I played some piano twenty years ago but have forgotten a lot so would be looking for someone to teach an advanced beginner, I’d say.
