A wonderful album!!! I loved it from beginning to end. "L'offrande au néant" is monumental. All the songs are of an incredibly high standard. Fumiya is demonic!

I went to my aunties home who is my mom's elder sister. Because I was having summer vacation . I state there for more than 15 days. Having fun but I am some point you miss your home. So did I, and I told my aunt I really want to go to my and I really miss my mom and my home. As a normal aunty always told me to wait and I told no I really really wish to go home. Then she plan to call her younger sister and tell her to come to her house to meet me because I stay in city, because I really come to visit. She also called her mother apparently also my grandmother.Here

the situation take a crazy turn.

I really back everyone to come to my hometown with me just for few days just a never come and rarely visit. I am bad my younger aunty. Because she had a situation that she could leave her house and come easily. So I beg her a lot by literally calling everyday and asking please can you cohous.she told I will come once I come we will decide okay I said. She came to her older sister house then told my mother that I am ready to come and my mom book the ticket immediately just after saying that word. That next moment she cried and yelled that I am not going to come she just told yes but it's still not conform. My mother asked is there any problem at your home is your husband not letting you come she don't know I really don't want to go and really do wish to go anywhere anywhere and she really doesn't go anywhere and my mom what really angry intest because she spend lot of money booking those tickets. And she was crying and howling that she is not going to come at all it any moment. Okay I do okay don't come and the tickets were not refundable so I told it's okay it's fine I don't want to force anyone I just want to stay alone and come I don't care. I was really sad because is living city I never had big family 3 people and I was the only child I didn't had people in I love people around me. My mother was happy that her sister was coming but she is having howling.

Elder sister thought of a genius idea to send her mother instead of her younger sister. To not waste that ticket. But as all the sisters are same mother was also just like them. She told no way no way I am coming. She don't like the city at all and we agree that she can get bored alone but sometimes to meet her grandson or child we can come. She also didn't wanted to go she yelled at her younger daughter and all the

Slang. And now your I was frustrated and sad . Is my home that bad am I that bad of a person that nobody wish to come to our house. I Literally cried a lot. Nobody wish to stay with me. I felt lonely a lot. It was like no one is there for me. Finally after looking my cries my grandma agreed to come it's still she was not ready he was just like she didn't wanted to wish the money. And she had no more to come at all and she didn't get my tears she just came because her elder daughter was shouting her that what mother are you. And then she agreed the problem doesn't and here .

And no one was available for me send to the bus stop so booked an auto came with my nani and then after reaching the bus stop. I saw the bus we went in the bus and the bus ticket was book on the upper deck and my grandmone doesn't know to climb because she is old she was not able to climb. I was screaming on over how could I Climb this how could I can't do this I can't do this why did your mother book this ticket I am not going to I really want to go to my home and mom got frustrated and told next top you get down. But some how I handle it and better other family to take the seat instead and they agreed. Finally the story ends here and I learned a lesson everybody make me nobody will be there for you at all don't expect anything from anyone.

Make the story or reddit type don't change the content just make it more clear and in a good English with more genz style

I'm a longtime metal music enjoyer. When I count the years it's been over 30 with a huge focus on melodic death and power metal, and enjoying many others. I recently got into Light Bringer and Tears of Tragedy but was a bit intimidated by Unlucky Morhpeus' huge discography. Once I dove in, I learned quickly to appreciate nearly all of it.

It's very interesting they have so many releases and to follow Shiren and Fuki's path to where they are now. I feel strongly about nearly every major release and both Unfinished and Gate of Heaven have been on replay a lot. I like that their lyrics have been quite varied over the years too. Now that I am familiar with their discography, I love that they rerecorded Hypothetical Box twice. Hearing the updated versions is very cool to hear how they have refined their style. It's hard to say which versions are better for a song like Dignity of Spirit because the new version sounds a lot better in many ways but the originals really have something special that cannot be recaptured, even by the same musicians. It's an interesting way to hear that time does not stand still. Unlucky Morpheus is now absolutely one of my favorite bands.🤘

Also with so many music videos, it's fun to see the band's visual style. I love the drummers enthusiasm and Shiren's guitar stand is so cool.

Just found this band and I love them. The title song for the album "evolution" struck me in particular. I love the way it sounds. Considering it's only 58 seconds and seems to abruptly stop I wanted to see if there's any additions to that particular track or if that's all there is?

Considering that the song and album share the same name I've been unable to find any information on it.

As a new and upcoming fan is there anything major I should know about how their songs/albums operate? I've already noticed that some songs seem to have different versions.

Blink of an eye has an extended outro in the tour, which is ad-libed. The guitar and drums shouldn't rip so hard in a bitter sweet song and make me cry every time.

Definitely my favorite song in the album.

This song is to commemorate Puku, Shiren's Pomeranian who passed away in 2020. The outro signifies Puku transcending this world.

Trivia: the first few Ankimo homebrew albums are recorded in "Puku studio"

Alright, so they released a new album with 10 songs. But the first one is just an intro, the second one was already released, and the third one as well. The fourth is the first actually new song, the fifth is also new, the sixth is some kind of interlude, not an actual song. The seventh was already released, the eighth was also already released, and the ninth is the third new song. The tenth one had already been released too.

So you’re telling me they released an album with only 3 new songs? Lmao.

It seems like all the members are on "Autopilot" mode as they don't seem to be giving 100%. Between the singles, instrumentals and regabaciones, the album doesn't quite convince me.

Q: When did the album start production?

Shiren: The first song that was finished is Sekai Rinne. Even though it was released in summer 2024, it was already recorded back in summer 2023. Recently anime theme songs are made a year before they are aired.

Q: How are the concepts of the album decided?

Shiren: So we had Sekai Rinne and Ready for a New Stage that coupled with it. And then we had the Sakura Chevalier EP. Blink of an Eye was also made earlier. So then I tried to figure out what goes well with these. The vision for the whole album only emerged after having these 3-4 songs.

MC: and hence it jumped across genres like this creating a lot of varieties.

Track commentaries:

1. Gate of heaven
Shiren: This is like a prelude to Sekai Rinne, and was used as the stage entry for the later half of the REINCARNATION tour. It was written with it being the start of the album in mind.

2. Sekai Rinne
Shiren: as a theme song, it is written for the anime and cannot be constrained by the regular Ankimo. I think it brings me a lot of new perspectives.

Fuki: for the lyrics I read the whole “naze boku” novel series before writing them, and sought approval from the original author. There are a lot of memories for our first anime tie-up.

3. Convergent Rays

Shiren: This is written as the theme song of the Mahjong League team Kadokawa Sakura Knights. The MV was released back in September, and I wanted it to be a sneak peek of the new album, and for people to wonder how it will be like until yesterday. The lyrics of M-series have a lot of Mahjong terms in them, but by this song I feel I have used them all and had a lot of trouble with the lyrics.

4. Savior after God
Shiren: I started writing this 5 years ago, and at first it is even less heavy-metal. I thought this song might fit the new album and turned it into its current form. Back then I thought it didn't really fit Ankimo, but now maybe I can try to make it happen. I wanted to know how people who listen to the regular Ankimo think about a song like this. It was a scary thing to do. I’m glad some people said they liked it.

Fuki: Some people described this as “club metal”. “Make Your Choice” is also kind of like this. There’s also a lot of call-and-response like Salome. I think this one would really shine in a concert with everyone together. I want people to imagine the concert when listening to the CD.

Fuki: The temp title is “EDM”. Yes “Make Your Choice” was called “club metal”

5. Mangekyou

Shiren: This song was from a different Visual-kei band I was in 18 years ago, and this is the Ankimo version of it. Even back then it was like a Visual-kei band playing a Japanese boomer song, and on top of that I turned it into Ankimo style.There are not a lot of shuffle beats in Ankimo and I hope people will find it interesting.

Fuki: Following its’ root to the boomer era, if it had an cover art it must be something sexy. I kept that in mind and sang it with a deeper tone. The key is lower than my usual. I wanted it to feel like an adult big sister.

Jill: A jazzy song like this on the contrary is a perfect fit for Ankimo. Our band members don’t do just heavy metal, we all have projects in other genres on the side. For example, Ogawa is good at jazz, so he recorded his part first and I tried to follow it. I also brought in my experiences for other genres and I think that helped expressing this song well.

6. Who will be the next king?

Shiren: This was written as the opening theme for the Japan Mahjong association A-1 league. I also had it being the prelude to “read for a new stage” in mind.

7. Read for a new stage

Shiren: this is coupled with Sekai Rinne. Since Sekai Rinne has a lot of elements new to Ankimo, I think it is better for this one to feel like the initial melodic speed metal Ankimo. The band battle with Edu Falaschi and Northtale brought me into melodic speed metal mode, and I wrote this after that.

Jinya: The temp title for this was “bright speed metal”. It is a very Ankimo-ish song, which made the guitar solo suuuuuper hard.

8. Sakura Chevalier

Shiren: This is also written for Kadokawa Sakura Knights, we made the MV with them. I tried making this more Japanese not only by the melody, but also how the voices are combined together into a more traditional chord. There are also a bit of koto and shamisen in it.

Fuki: The singing style is also closer to Japanese enka. I already have a deep vibrato influenced by Onmyoza, and I emphasized it even more in this one.

Fumiya: I also tried to make the floor tom sound more like a taiko, asking to raise the bass during mixing.

9. Blink of an Eye

Shiren: This was written for my dog who passed away in 2020, with all the emotions I had. Even though it is really slow I still think it fits the style of an Ankimo ballad. It is probably the most gentle Ankimo song.

Fuki: Most Ankimo ballads are more serious and sad, but this one is really bright. The historic brightness and gentleness makes it really fit the “heaven” theme. Instead of singing with more sadness, I think it draws out more emotion if it is done brightly like a “safe travels”.

10. Satsuriku no Miseria

Shiren: This is a re-recording from the old album “Affected”. Back then we didn’t have Jill so I really wanted to do it again in our current complete form.

Fuki: I thought people would be happier if there are more new songs in a new album, I was really surprised to learn this is what some people are most excited for.

Jinya: I tried to do better than the Shiren back then, and I’m sure doing so will make him happy.
