First time watching and I started on s5

This show/season is peak. I started directly in s5 because I thought I'd only watch one season then drop the show after that since it's apparently the best season, but I'm very much watching s6 after this

Diane and the judgeship Spoiler

I know it's not the biggest plot hole, but why would Diane, whilst waiting to be appointed to the Supreme Court, fuck with the wife of the guy appointing her?

Even if she couldn't imagine he would cease her appointment - no one intheir right ming would risk pissing off their future boss/job recruiter, right?

I swear it's the dumbest thing she does the entire series. Interested to know any other thoughts on this. It doesn't make sense to me for her character.

This is my favorite show of all time. Spoiler

I watch this show religiously. By that I mean I watch it through at least once a year.

The writing, the characters, it’s all very special.

With that said, I will never forgive the Kings for killing Will Gardner.

Why is Natalie Flores so forgiving of Eli?

He outs her as an undocumented worker and nearly gets her deported for no reason other than political point scoring and she is off to dinner with him a couple years later totally chill about it? Sure he helps her get her citizenship after but that doesn’t negate that what he did was irredeemably selfish.

Currently watching s5 as a first time viewer so maybe she gets angrier about it later?

First time watching just came here to say

The mil Jackie pisses me off. I’m almost done the third season and she started as your typical annoying boomer and has now shifted to a boundary stomping pain in the ass. Sticking her nose in where it doesn’t belong and causing issues. Find a hobby lady

Call me…maybe

Six episodes into season six and it has picked up where season five left of very nicely. Season five was so incredibly entertaining and engaging and I find myself with the same feeling so far with season six.

Also, thoughts on a few characters:

I like Cary’s case reviewer. It’s a minor role but there is something nice about her no-bullshit straightforward ethical handling of his situation. About as fair, reasonable, and even-handed as any character in the show so far.

And Elsbeth. My goodness. Her first appearance really annoyed me. Her mannerisms and quirkiness made her kind of hard to stomach initially. Six seasons and multiple appearances later and I’m looking forward to her spinoff. She is one of the more entertaining characters.

Canning. I don’t ever recall seeing Michael J Fox play a character as slimy as that guy. If you notice these motions while I watch the show it’s just me showing my discomfort with his character.

Thicky Trick Cast Dance Video

Was listening to “The Good Pod” and they were recapping season 5 episode 11 “David and Goliath”, and they mentioned this.

I’m sure this gets posted every couple years, but I think it’s important because it’s why we’re all in this! Lol

If you’ve got a few days to have an ear worm, enjoy the cast video!

Who would win in a legal battle? Possibly between 2 companies or even a high value divorce? David and Louis are both the financial wizard douche bags so it would be fun to see them face off. What are your thoughts?

First time watcher, an observation

I sort of accidentally stumbled onto this show about two weeks ago when it automatically played while I was doing some cleaning.

Anyways, I am sitting here now watching S4E9: Defense of Marriage and Stockard Channing has a cameo. And i can’t help but feel like this show has more cameos of familiar names and faces than any able I’ve ever seen. Nearly every episode has some noticeable cameo.

Just a pointless observation from a first time watcher.

It’s a three-part British true-crime television drama that originally aired on ITV in 2014 - available on Netflix.

I do not like that Alicia girl

And no, this is not Jackie Florrick’s account. Though I have heard her son Peter is the State’s Attorney and he’s quite the catch.

Need help finding an episode

Can anyone help me find the episode where Alicia is being questioned on the stand as witness in court about something that I think involved Peter and she responds with saying something was a categorical no?

How did they afford the house before?

Currently rewatching in season 3 with the plot line where Alicia is trying to figure out how to buy her apartment or her old home and the home is portrayed as out of her range financially. At other points in the show it is made clear she earns more as an associate attorney than Peter does as State’s Attorney. So my question is how were they able to afford the home the first time when she wasn’t working and he was State’s Attorney (or whatever he did before that)? Does the show explain?

Season 1 questions

So maybe I still have more to watch but I’m at episode 20 of Season 1 and everyone in the Florrick family seems to fucking hate Alicia for not accepting Peter back right away and it’s actually pissing me off. Am I missing something or is it just good writing that it’s pissing me off this much

About Lockhart/Gardner Office wallpaper

Does anyone happen to have or know where to find the desktop wallpapers used on the Lockhard/Gardner office set? It looks so nice and minimalist so I'd love to have that one on my work laptop since I'm both fan of the show and study at law school. Google image search has thus far been unhelpful so if anyone has the file or link or whatever it would be appreciated

And I like the actor in other things. Nothing against Jeffrey Dean Morgan at all.

I just hate the character, Jason. I hate him so much. Like truly cannot stand him. Every time he appears on screen, I get irritated. Ugh. I can't believe they made him a love interest, it makes me want to puke. ew.

Hated this whole arc - Cary vs Bishop vs State

I'm usually a HUGE fan of the writing in this show. I could probably write a book on how much I love the writing.

BUT I hated every aspect of this story line.

  • Hated how long it lasted, too long.
  • The litigation lasted way way way too long. It just became so sad and so dull.
  • Hated seeing Cary so sad, defeated and miserable. (He's such a great actor though. There are scenes where it looks like he's been up crying all night. I don't know how he even did that)
  • Hated the Kalinda-Cary hookup story. I don't think they have chemistry at all? idk if that's just me.
  • Hated how stressed out and one-dimensional Diane was. What a waste of her character's time.
  • Hated the Kalinda-Bishop feud part. It seemed over-dramatic and silly.
  • Hated Kalinda faking the evidence part.
  • Hated Cary in prison.

I'm realising how much I hate it on rewatch, and skipping over those parts. Seeing Diane stressed, Kalinda so off her game, and Cary so miserable for this long... not a fun time. I want to skip to the good part.

even though Will getting shot sucks and it was genuinely a surprise I didn’t think he was gonna die in the middle of the seasons, the plot itself made much more sense and was incredibly heavy and emotional particularly because one of the main characters died because of this. All the cast acted so well. Apart from Kalinda, Diane and Alicia, I really enjoyed David Lee and Cary’s performances as well. Also Diane firing that client and block listing him to all firms is so satisfying.
