Who else thought this was legit scary?
Her malicious smile and eyebrows, the underscore synced to the reveal of her true character and all but her eyes darkening is oddly compelling for an animated sitcom. I love the joke of Jay managing lucidity to eat a single pig in a blanket however.
On a broader note I think it gets to the common fear of trusting the wrong person and then being victimized by them. I know it’s a spoof of Misery but it also makes you think about predators who prey on vulnerability.

Theme song without dialogue or SFX?
A good deal of the intro doesn’t have any sound effects or dialogue. Has anyone tried to patch it up with the outro music? I love the bongo section that plays over the phone gag, but I think that part would be impossible to get a clean copy of.
Anyways, I wanted to ask if anyone has beat me to this, and if the outro plays at a faster tempo or speed that would need to be adjusted. Also, does Jay’s disclaimer about celebrities being impersonated and unharmed play over the same section heard in the intro when Jay breaks the ice at the rink at Rockefeller Center?
Some covers are available online but none of them hold a candle to the original

Buy my book! Buy my book! ‘Closer than ever’ to getting a new season/reboot of The Critic
According to Al Jean on the Four Finger Discount podcast, he’s working with Jon Lovitz on clearing the last few hurdles to get a reboot (similar to King of the Hill) off the ground.

Celebrity voices are impersonated. And remember, there’s no fish stick like Mrs. Pell’s..
“This isn’t a commercial”.
“I know, that was just a declaration of love. Yes.. oh yes! They’re even better raw!”

on the Shermometer "Jonathan Majors to Star in Action Film Produced by Ben Shapiro" – This literally sounds like something Jay would review on Coming Attractions.
It stinks!

Announcement MOD: Announcing subreddit rules
If you can believe it, we never had subreddit rules before, but that ends now. Half of you subs are in the toilet and you're not coming out. r/newyork, you know what I'm talking about. r/california, kiss your smoggy butt goodbye. r/newengland, you're going back to r/oldenglish.
The rules are short and simple. To wit:
On Topic: Posts must relate to the animated sitcom "The Critic," which aired 1994–1995 but lives forever in our hearts.
Respect: Treat other redditors with respect and civility.
No AI slop: It stinks.
Québécisme: There is one issue this sub cannot remain silent upon: independence for Quebec.
We believe that these rules reflect overwhelming community consensus. You can report violations to the mod team.

Celebrity voices are impersonated. The name's Monroe. James Monroe. And here's a taste of the Monroe Doctrine.

A real quzybuk The Critic "Penguins Can't Fly"
This whole episode might be my favorite one. I cannot express how hard I laughed later in the episode when the flight recorder is played and Franklin Sherman says “The plane’s going to crash AND our pilots a penguin!” followed by drunk penguin noises and Franklin saying “No, I will not pray with you” incredulously.
