Around me they are running a special "combo" experiment. $11 gets you a single patty burger, an actual single serving of fries, and a small drink about half the normal size (but still with refills) which is honestly a solid deal considering McDonald's is about the same
Tell them they need to roll that shit out nationwide. Yeah I routinely spend that much if not more at McDonald's or other places. Someone else shouted out Culver's which is more expensive than that.
Honestly I've been going more often to help move the needle toward them adopting it... but im Gluten intolerant and it kinda hurts (even though its good)
Absolutely not. Culver's looks like McDonald's in comparison to Five Guys, add on the piddley ass serving sizes of shitty little crinkle fries they give you and the fact the cheese curds could reasonably be called "fried salt" and I'm taking Five Guys any day.
Culvers is weak compared to five guys. Shitty fries that you get a tiny amount of, super salty food, they can do an ok burger, but it's not worth how much they wanna charge you. OOP saying "that'll be $47.50" yeah you're leaving Culvers paying about that much for worse food.
Culver's isn't THAT much more than McDonald's and you get consistency. We ate there yesterday and a double burger combo, wife had a single combo, and my kid had a kids meal and it was $29. Culver's is the same every time you go. McDonald's it could be fresh or old as shit and it always looks like it was thrown together without a care in the world.
11 dollars for the entire thing? I’ve worked at a lot of five guys and the combos are 6 dollars on top of the regular burger price. So if a burger is 11 dollars, the meal (little fry + reg drink) would be 17 dollars.
Not sure where you’re located where the entire combo is 11 dollars but I’d be interested to know.
Its not a burger plus fries/drink combo, its a special combo they call the "little combo" they also have a "classic combo" for like $16 that has a normal size drink and normal little fry
Except that's a half meal serving and nobody is getting full from it. I'd need to buy at least two and then it's $22 anyways at the very minimum. Probably more like $33 to make sure I get full for real.
I'm talking about actually getting full. Not eating a half size portion and pretending that's all the food I want just to try to impress people. 2-3 half sizes would make one real meal, depending on when I ate last.
I mean, if your goal is to just stop the hunger then maybe it's possible if you ate recently. But that's a form of food restriction itself. Our bodies tell us what they need and they want to actually feel full when they're hungry. Like a real meal. Not just temporarily not hungry. Two of those half meals would be the minimum. And that's if I ate recently.
