Surprised this is so low. Whoppers w/cheese are the damned best.

I love a whopper but it's a signature burger from a major chain. It need to be served with cheese by default. And a slice of American cheese should not cost a dollar or more.

At the location I work at currently, its about $0.05 in per slice of cheese and we charge $0.90 for it

Better than the local sit down chain where the burger is $23.99 and adding cheese is $2.99.

Add Cheese! ($5.49) Add Bacon! (MP)

(MP) on a menu has always been code for "you're going to be very disappointed, then struggle to defend your purchase to save face"

That's the fuckit, I'm eating in price.

What sit down chain is that? Applebee's still has that 2 for 25 or whatever menu. Not that Applebee's is the king of burgers but it's a pretty good example of a generic sit down chain.

And then they ask if you want to add fries and a drink for $8 more.

You saw the price of the burger so you thought it came with fries already. You reluctantly say yes.

Cup is 80% full of ice, the machine is behind the counter with a 1 refill limit and when you dump out your fries you see it is legit 1 dozen fries which would be a nice amount for most things, but not fries with your burger.

I think it's more the identity at this point. A whopper does not have cheese, then you'd be getting a whopper with cheese.

I agree with the price, and I used to be a cheese on a whopper guy. I have since tried it without, and it does not need the cheese to be good. No cheese let's the flame broiled flavor shine through!

swiss cheese though, the american is too salty

whoppers could have half the salt and probably taste better

Hear hear! Of the big 3, BK has the best burger by miles. God-awful chicken, and decent fries but you can get a half-and-half with onion rings so the variety kind of makes up for the fries being just okay.

Because people are brainwashed to believe it’s bad

It's mostly because Burger King completely sucks ass. Maybe you have a really good location near you, and even then the veggies suck and it doesn't come with cheese.

What are their fries like these days? Haven't been there in a minute

LPT - bring your own kraft singles from home. Ladies love a guy who knows how to save money. Hand a gal a slice of warm pocket cheese for her burger and you just might get lucky that night.

fuck them for upcharging 1.40 for cheese though.

Malted milk balls with cheese...... NO THANKS!

Whopper is the one burger where cheese actually makes it worse

1

u/ulsd 10d ago

especially because they put the cheese on top of the salad (or i only was unlucky)

2

u/erlend65 10d ago

What? That must've been a mistake. The cheese goes directly on top of the patty, and there are pickles, onion, tomatoes and ketchup between the cheese and lettuce.

Sometimes we forgor that the burger has special add-ons, and have to add it wherever we can as fast as possible.
