Exactly. If I go to McDonald's, I'm dropping $10-$15 and I'm hungry again in a couple hours. 5 Guys I'll drop $20, but I'm getting a giant burger loaded with premium toppings, a mountain of fries, and peanuts to boot while I wait. I'm stuffed to the gills for the rest of the day, to say nothing of the much better taste of 5 Guys to most fast food places. Sure, it's not 5 star dining, but they're a formidable greasy spoon with a fast turn around and highly customizable experience. I think lots of people who balk at 5 Guys prices are burger, cheese, and maybe ketchup types in which case it's probably not worth it.
I agree 5 guys is better but dude, a double quarter pounder medium combo is $13 around here. If you're hungry again 2 hours after eating half a pound of beef and fries, what in the world are you ordering at 5 guys for $20?
If you're spending $20 at 5guys on yourself you're doing it wrong. Little burger, small fry, water, $12 (in Washington state) and more fries than I can eat.
I just work out 1-2 hours most days. You should try it! Makes you feel great even if your wallet cries from all the extra calories you have to eat to compensate.
And you gotta get real macros. Places like McDonald's are all simple carbs with their wafer thin burgers these days - a guaranteed blood sugar spike and crash. No thanks.
