Unofficial Farewell Notes 2013-04-24/2015-02-13 - Goodbye, and maybe AMAA or something

Hello, this is just a quick announcement that I will no longer make patch notes, or any other work on SOE/DGC-related projects, and I will be leaving this community.

Please note that while the layoffs and everything around it did slightly impact my decision, the main reason is political (CN being a part of russian Renova, which is within Putin's inner ring, basically. and since Putin ochestrated the assassination of my country's president and dozens of other elite citizens...), and thus will not be discussed here (feel free to send me a PM if you want some details).
Just know that I don't make this decision lightly (both my head and drives are full of PS2/H1Z1/SOE-related data, it was an enormous part of my life), and I deem some things more important than others.

You can ask me anything you want, here or via PM, but I may ignore some silly questions ;]

Last thing I expected to read when I saw the shaql post, was a conspiracy theory.

why do you assume it is a conspiracy theory, then?

if you know me, then you know I wouldn't claim anything without some solid proof.

There's no assuming being done here. Whether its true or not, it's said to be a conspiracy perpetrated by Putin and his m8's. And since there's not enough evidence for anyone to take action against Russia, it's just a theory. Hence, conspiracy theory.

there's not enough evidence for anyone to take action against Russia

still waiting for anyone to 'take action against Russia' for Katyń, Georgia, Chechenya, Ukraine... and 'sanctions' aren't really 'actions', no.

Well, the Ukraine belongs in the theory category. But what should outside parties do in these cases? Get involved? I don't believe they should. They should only speak out and apply sanctions.

But what should outside parties do in these cases?

my point exactly. you judge the existence of proof by actions, and then say that no actions can be taken.

No, I said sanctions are actions

so, what about Katyń then? Georgia? Chechenya?

There was international response and action in all those cases. But why stop at Katyn? that was only 80 years ago, I'm sure you can go further back.

Katyń is very important to me, considering it was done to people from my country.

but fine, feel free to dismiss a theory just for it being a 'theory', without glancing at proof. you wouldn't do well in math, but whatever. (unless I'm reading your original comment wrong and you did not, actually, mean that you instantly don't believe the 'theory' and are disappointed by me mentioning it)

Your "solid proof" is probably nothing more than simple confirmation bias. Even more so considering the world and more specificly your own government disagrees with your assesment. But then again people still believe a missle hit the Pentagon despite science proving them wrong.

Furthermore you are notorious for seeing and believing only what you want to no matter how much evidence there is to the contrary, so the above doesn't surprise me in anyway.
