Jobs NI

Hi everyone,

Myself and my GF are moving back to NI after living in ROI the past few years after graduating university. We wanted to try something different so moved to Dublin for work for a few years, but now intend on moving back to Belfast / greater Belfast areas to settle down as the cost of living / housing crisis makes this basically impossible for people in their mid 20s in Dublin.

We gained a lot of experience in our careers during our time in Dublin due to the increased opportunities to work in big tech and other larger companies based there, although as mentioned “settling down” is a lot harder due to the price of things, hence most of our friends still live with their parents.

I’m an engineer so there have been a few companies I have been looking at for work in NI, although the opportunies are much smaller as we expected compared to Dublin. My GF works in HR and from what we are seeing there just also seems to be a lot less opportunities in this area, despite her experience working in a large corporation. She’s had general calls with recruiters etc, but everything is so slow moving. It’s just a bit of a change to us because it’s not like there’s an abundance of Googles, Facebook etc around Belfast that are always recruiting.

It seems like the HR industry is small and hard to break into - are there any companies/websites that are well known to hiring in this area? Also, the salaries - we knew we would have to take a pay cut but are people really accepting offers of £30k from employers in this area? Seems like the salaries are considerably lower than we thought, and that’s really not trying to sound big headed.

Thanks in advance for any input.

I would like to gain new clients in Ireland.

We charge $350.00 per month to manage advertising services for businesses on Google and Meta.

Our team is qualified to assist you entirely in English. We have an international phone number in case you need to call us. If you prefer, we can do it via Google Meeting.

We charge for our services retroactively. Therefore, everything we do this month will only be billed next month. Additionally, we are offering one free month for you to test our service.
If you are a business owner and are interested, talk to me and I will send you my social media so we can get to know each other better.

Also, I am looking for people in Ireland who may be interested in earning extra income by working as SDRs (Sales Development Representatives) for my company.

What's the feature people want to see in a resume builder app?

Hey all,

I'd be interested to hear what features people would like to see in a resume builder app? I'm a former recruitment consultant turned developer who built a free resume maker app (iOS, Android) to help job seekers find work. It deals with all the formatting and has advice and examples to help with the content - now I'm looking for the next feature to build.

Would love to hear your thoughts!!

Aspiring Journalists Wanted For Media Start-up

We are currently building a brand new independent media outlet based from Belfast. We aim to cover UK wide news with a NI focus, as well as covering science, tech, culture, sport, gaming and world affairs.

As we now look to grow we are look for some aspiring journalists to come on board to contribute 1-4 pieces a month as we try to grow our audience. We are currently not making any money aside from adsense revenue, so to begin with that is how we will be re-embursing writers for their time. However, we have plans to monetise over the next few months, at which point our wage budget will be significantly larger!

If you're looking to build some writing experience, or find an outlet to publish some work, get in touch and we can discuss how you could fit in and contribute!

Go to http://www.thejist.co.uk/contact/work-with-us/ to apply!
