In most movies and shows I prefer the action to the love story, but in this show it’s the opposite.

It was such a joy to watch them get closer and heal each other. Sometimes when an action scene would pop up I’d get annoyed bc I wanted it to go back to Miyo and Kiyoka’s love story.

My Happy Marriage is truly unique for me in that way.

When Kiyoka said “I love you” to Miyo, it hit me in a way no other “I love you” scene ever has.

You can feel the intensity of the scene and the passion by which he says it.

It truly made this scene one of a kind

It was such a perfect kiss. Like it was so anticipated and the delivery was just perfect.

Yes, I know he’s good looking, but he’s realllyy good looking.

I find him the most attractive male of the series, even more than Kiyoka.

His look with his glasses and his hair pushed back is chef’s kiss.

He’s not a trustworthy person, and I get the hate towards him. However, he has an impish, playboy like personality that I find attractive.

Idk if I’m crazy or not.

Ok, so this doesn’t need much explanation.

I already felt bad for Miyo but look how cute and innocent she was as a baby! Everytime I see the flashback of her past I swear I could cry.

Miyo looks innocent looking and that reflects who she is. Kaya looks mean and spoiled and that reflects who she is.

It just breaks my heart the Miyo lost her mom, the only person who truly cared for her as a kid. Koji and Hana did but unfortunately they couldn’t do much.

The fact that she faced so much abuse even as a kid is so sad. She went through so much pain. I just wish I could give baby Miyo a hug or take her away from the Saimori household.

I just read a post that said " in japanese culture. Saying 'the moon is beautiful tonight' is a way to say 'I love you' since stating your true feelings can be seen as impolite"

and now I am rethinking this scene!!!!

I haven't watched a rom com anime since high school been probably close to ten years since I watched the last one and i just happened upon The fragrant flower blooms with dignity recently and those giant eyes that just sparkle instantly got hooked again remembered why i used to love the genre so much. Instantly went searching for another where I watched Blue Box and burnt through it too and both of them just left me wanting more but with fragrant flowers having no official second season announced yet and blue box next season not until the end of the year I went searching again.

Here I found My Happy Marriage I didn't even read the description I just hit play wanting to see something lovey dovy right off the bat instead of being blue balled the whole show a pallet cleanser if you will. But BOY OH BOY should I have read the description never have I ever been duped by a shows name like this before watching those two other shows and then jumping into this one that was on the complete opposite side of the spectrum of what I was expecting threw me for a loop but I couldn't stop watching it hoping something terrible would happen to the evil step mother and step sister and the father that someone would save her. Then finally she moved out of the house to be engaged and everything took a turn from the horrible life she had lived so far to something good finally and then just when I thought I had gotten my baring's on where this show was going bam half way through he season apparently there's Shonen jump levels of supernatural powers and evil spirits. I'm currently about to watch the last episode of the first season right after posting this seriously how many times is this show going to throw me for a loop lmao.

If your in this subreddit then there's probably no reason for this last part but if you haven't watched this show yet I highly recommend it maybe just keep a stress ball to squeeze the heck out of while watching it thought lol.

I find it so cute that Tadakiyo (his dad) is rainbows and sunshine, while Fuyu (his mom) is the exact opposite. I know Fuyu is a soft person deep down, but her hard exterior is just so funny when comparing her to her husband.

He is building a tattoo sleeve depicting swords that belong to character's he has voiced and he recently added Kiyoka Kudo's sword. And look, it's got the little hair tie 🥹

I am definitely the one on the right most of the time 😔

THEY STRANGLED HAZUKI AND SHOT KIYOKA. MY PRECIOUS KIYOKA. I CAN'T BELIEVE IT ENDED LIKE THAT. (These scenes were NOT in the LNs).Im actually gonna start crying I know Kiyoka isn't dead but I've come so attached to his character.

I can see little Kiyoka making this same face whenever young Hazuki and their mother would bicker at each other like mothers and daughters do every so often

It's very "can I leave now?" 🤣🤣🤣

Whenever I get into a show I always look at the fanart and OMGGG I love them smm (P.S. I can’t wait for Mondays episode).

I love all the good characters on the show (not the bad Characters like Miyo's family/Koji's dad etc.).

Given that most of them are integral to the plot, they obviously express negative emotions like anger, sadness, or pain. I find that Kiyoka's sister, Hazuki, is great comedic relief and so funny.

Here are some examples:

1. Punching Kiyoka when he lost the duel to Arata. Kiyoka lost the duel and decided he didn't want to save Miyo because of that and also because Miyo said "I don't care". Hazuki knocked some sense into him (literally) and made him get her.

2. Teasing her brother for goggling Miyo. Miyo was trying on dresses in season 2 and Hazuki asked Kiyoka if Miyo looked good to which Kiyoka sheepishly responded "Yes". Hazuki then responded by saying "Don't act so stoic, you were absolutely goggling her in the store". Hilarious.

3. Making fun of her mom, Fuyu. Fuyu of all people! Miyo was crying after Hazuki gave Miyo Tadakiyo's Kimono, and Fuyu handed Miyo a handkerchief. Hazuki then stated that Fuyu cried when Tadakiyo gave the kimono to her. She's obviously a soft person inside but such a hard headed person on the outside. Kudos to Hazuki for doing it!
