Roster Moves Aiva Arquette is being promoted to Double-A Pensacola and the Marlins are not messing around with this kid
Seventh overall pick in the 2025 draft. Started the season on the IL coming off core muscle surgery, came back April 28, played two games, then got shut down again with right wrist soreness. Came back May 6 and has been absolutely on fire since. Hits in 10 of his last 12 games including three multi hit and multi RBI performances. Slashing .276/.333/.517 with two homers, two triples, and five steals in just 14 games at High-A Beloit. The Marlins are skipping him straight to Double-A Pensacola less than a year after drafting him. MLB Pipeline has him as the 35th best prospect in all of baseball. The injuries have slowed the timeline slightly but when this guy has been healthy and on the field the results have been impossible to ignore. Remember this name.

Roster Moves [Mish] Amongst all the Marlins big league moves recently comes a significant minor league note. Top 100 prospect SP Karson Milbrandt has been elevated to AAA Jacksonville. He has been fantastic in AA (1.06 ERA) and is one step closer to Miami.

Roster Moves Karson Milbrandt is heading to Triple-A and the Marlins might have something special on their hands
1.06 ERA leading all of minor league baseball. 63 strikeouts tied for the most of any pitcher in the minors. Three straight starts of six scoreless innings and 32 strikeouts combined in that stretch. Only six MLB pitchers in the modern era have put together a three start stretch with at least 18 scoreless innings and 32 or more strikeouts. The most recent was Chris Sale for the 2017 Red Sox. He is 22 years old and the Marlins just lost their number two prospect Robby Snelling to elbow surgery. Milbrandt just became the most important arm in this organization. Triple-A Jacksonville is going to be a lot of fun to watch this summer.

And White got scratched from a scheduled start today. Coincidence, or is he getting the call?
