Over at r/malefashion , there was a post about Pete Hegseth not unbuttoning his suit jacket while he was sitting down. An unwritten rule in fashion is that you don’t do this because you will eventually pop that button. So I said, “obviously not the smartest person in the room”. I guess this was offensive so the mods flagged it snd eventually gave me a 7 day ban. Left the fucking sub after that. This is the second time someone flagged my comment. The first one was on a dash cam sub where I said Nazi lives don’t matter on a car that was obviously racist. So I appealed and said to the mods, what part of my comment was threatening? Restored the comment after that. Fuck MAGA.

The very first thing a despot does after seizing control is shut down the newspapers and news gathering organizations. It is on page one of the Tyrant’s Handbook.
The free flow of information is anathema to anyone with serious crime on his mind; else why would he try to stifle those who hold information about criminality?
Why would Trump and his Republican band of thieves be so concerned about government employees reporting misbehavior if they have nothing to hide?
The way Trump’s draft notice is written it would allow him to sell state secrets, (if he hasn’t done so already), allow him to engage in any unlawful and treasonous activity, without fear of being exposed by government employees simply doing their job.
Ask yourself, what is his real motivation for such a drastic proposal?
See this – Boldface mine:

Social media pounced the Trump administration’s proposal to force all employees to sign non-disclosure agreements to prevent leaks to media organizations.
The new requirement proposed by President Donald Trump in a Tuesdy draft notice, states that “federal employees do not have discretion to disclose Confidential Government Information,” and that unauthorized disclosure of such information disrupts agency operations and “erodes public trust.”
The agreement, if successful, would make “written permission from an authorized agency official” a requirement before an employee could speak about information the Trump administration declares confidential — regardless of the seriousness or the alleged harm the government action is doing.
The NDA is designed to bring financial pain to the whistleblower by demanding financial restitution, and it even applies to employees after they leave federal service.
Social media critics whaled on the proposal, with the Freedom of the Press Foundation calling it “not just absurd, it’s unnecessary and dangerously secretive.”
“This policy would kneecap whistleblower protections, undermine the First Amendment, and wrongly inhibit the public’s right to know,” the association added on Bluesky.
Washington D.C. attorney Bradley Moss also blasted the proposal on Bluesky: “Federal employees operate under an array of statutory, regulatory and policy restrictions on the unauthorized disclosure of unclassified information. The only reason to add this NDA would be to undercut lawful … disclosures to the media that SCOTUS approved.”
Former U.S. diplomat William Gill pointed out on X that “This obviously begs the question, what are they trying to hide now? Federal employees are barred from unauthorized disclosures of classified information but they’re also covered by whistleblower protections regarding waste, fraud and abuse. That’s the likely area being targeted.”
Other critics took a more biting turn, with one heckler complaining on Bluesky that “Fed workers are not the ones needing to be gagged.”
Another blasted “absolutely breathtaking authoritarian s—— from this admin and that’s saying something.”

The GAO has published reports on directed-energy weapons.

Necrological injuries suffered by American diplomats and intelligence officers starting in 2016 - is a portable Russian microwave weapon that Homeland Security agents purchased from arms traffickers in 2024.
Zorro Ranch - a 7,600-acre compound near Los Alamos - remains one of the more underexplored threads in the saga.

Bradbury Stamm specializes in “large-scale military, industrial and government contract construction,” and was involved in “constructing the Manhattan Project’s facilities, including the laboratories at Los Alamos, New Mexico, where America's first nuclear weapons were designed and built.”
“This is who Jeffrey Epstein hired to build his ranch house. I know. Weird,” Valdes-Rodriguez wrote.
In actuality, however, there was nothing “weird” about Epstein’s supposed choice to contract Bradbury Stamm to construct Zorro Ranch, Valdes-Rodriguez argued, when considering the property’s strategic location between U.S. nuclear weapons laboratories, one of which was “sold backdoored surveillance software” potentially compromised by Israeli intelligence, according to Valdes-Rodriguez and supported by a declassified FBI document.

Will the Republicans in congress ever come to the realization that Trump and his entire administration is a bungling gaggle of incompetents, thieves, and probably traitors?
Every previous president, whether Democrat or Republican, knew that if push came to shove Iran would shut down the Strait of Hormuz and cause worldwide oil shortages that would eventually cripple small countries and devastate the economies of the rest.
But he and his drooling band of oligarchs and billionaires knew if they proclaimed victory in the war they started for no reason, and then equivocated, and then kept changing their mind about the process the oil market would go up and down like a yo-yo, and with proper warning and timing they could make additional fortunes – and America be damned!
But now the morons have come to realize the Iranians have all the cards, Trump and his red-eyed band of opportunists find themselves slowly bending to Iran’s demands, and the fools found out they can do nothing about it.
Iran has Trump by the short and curlies, and every time they give a tug he screams like a little girl and says he’ll hold his breath until they give in – but they don’t have to give in. Every day their position grows stronger and every day the world suffers because we elected a buffoon and a feckless congress watches the diminishment of America because they are too cowardly to act.
But this cannot go on forever! If congress won’t work to save our country, then most likely Americans will. And when they do it will be terrible. It will be mob rule and those at the short end of the stick just might end up at the long end of a rope.
There are no fair trials at the end of a revolution.
Just sayin'.

Rep. Thomas Massie has claimed that Melania Trump “knows” Jeffrey Epstein wasn’t running his child sex abuse ring alone.Massie, 55, appeared on NBC’s Meet the Press on Sunday and confirmed that he personally planned to reveal more names from the Epstein files after a lack of clear action from the acting attorney general.“ Todd Blanche is violating the law. There’s still millions of files they haven’t released,” he said.
