So there are some leaks about potential plots for this upcoming season that i think by watching the trailer it could turn out they are true.
Corlys being shock might be that he's in Tumbleton and watches the dragonseeds' betrayal.
Rhaenyra's feast will mean she will actually give nobles rats to eat
The trailer showing up hugh's wife might be that the leak about her death would be true and this will push Hugh's betrayal.
Alicent out of KL, either she goes to Harrenhal or she goes to Tumbleton to negociate and make Daeron give up.
Alicent will be Rhaenyra's advisor and this will make Daemon and Rhaenyra have other argument, also i think Emma kinda hinted that Alicent would be there to advice Rhaenyra.
What others do you think are true?

to be honest, i really liked the relationship between Alicent and Rhaenyra in Season 1, and how their relationship evolved from friendship to enmityâunlike in the book. the relationship was somewhat boring and superficial. unfortunately, everything was ruined in the last two episodes of Season 1 by making Viserysâs final words open to interpretation, paving the way for a reconciliation between Alicent and Rhaenyra. Condal had the chance to make this relationship more impactful and complex for the viewer, but the rats (Condal) play, when the cat (GRRM) is gone.

People are debating that Aegon did not bring Jaehaera and Helaena to him on the road meaning he doesnt care but the question here is...could he bring them with him? i mean it's clear that he has a big target in his back last season Larys told him he's not safe under the same roof with Aemond and now Rhaenyra wants him to be brough to her.
I think rather than having Aegon saying that his penis exploded to make the audience laugh and giggle they could have included lines of him asking about his child and sister but it's clear the writers dont remember Jaehaera, i mean they dont even bother to mention her name in the show, Alicent calls her her daughter's child.
So i think rather than this meaning "Aegon doesnt care about his family" is the show simply omitting or ignoring details to the narrative because he accepts to get crowned to protect his family(book) and last season he was the most affected by one of his family members' death.
Last, if Rhaenyea wont do anything to Helaena or Jaehaera why people are saying they should leave? Do they realize how contradictory is that.

Copy/pasting a reply to a comment about me.
Oh. Well it doesn't really matter does it? I have history as my optional subject apart from Major Science. So yeah I agree I get really "fervent" with how victims of historical societies are treated, especially after studying them for so long.
>show. She's taking things way too seriously like they actually happened in real time
Well, again as a history student, these situations, like Alicent's situation, Helaena and Aegon, apart from them having dragons has happened so many times in actual history, especially for Alicent and Helaena.
Alicent who is a woman trapped in a patriarchal society and respond in a way that is completely normal, which is surviving. Take an example, when someone pulls out a gun at you in a dark alley, and they try to mug you with threat of serious harm, what you usually hear and is a most common survival instinct is to give in and hand them what they want. Sure some brave people fight back, but that doesn't change that the respons of the person who gave in is suddenly the worst thing.
And yes, most of what happens to these ladies still happens. I've spent many years of my life in a third world country, where young girls are forced to marry old men and are forced to have babies.
Then that motherhood is used as a horrid weapon to attack them, as we see in Alicent's case with the treatment she receives from the fandom.
It is infact very real and yes people can ignore its existence but most of this "online hating" fuels hatred towards life victims because it helps people denounce the victimhood of many people.
The history is filled with thousands of examples of women who have tried to make place for themselves in the restraints if the society and many times have succeeded in reigning superior than a man. Quietly.
Even today, there are THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of examples of young girls being forced to marry old men and have babies for them and then be treated like shit.
To read these books and think they are just about dragons or even if they are, refusing to try and compare them with the state and treatment of life people is weird.
Yes I'm fervent. Yes I am angry because eveytime I see post about the parents of Aegon, Aemond, Helaena and Daeron, ONLY Alicent is mentioned, not their father who neglected and maritally raped their mother and used and abused them, only the mother who is trying to have survive.
Yes I'm very angry when I see "married her best friend's father", instead of "married his daughter's bestfriend."
Yes I'm very fucking angry when I see that Alicent is expected to abandon every sense if security, however, to please another charchter, when she is also a victim.
Yes I'm very fervently angry when I see hate towards Alicent for making her children too "Hightower", As if accepting and endorsing your mother's Identity, being hated is not deeply rooted in traditional misogyny.
Yes I'm fervent and angry, the question is why are YOU not?
"Oh they have to be too young to even watch this show,"
People like to think that and use that, so they can ignore the other person's opinions and reduce it to a child's nonsense, because thinking they are too young gives the perfect excuse to ignore their opinion.
"Oh well we only hate Alicent because of her inconsistent charchter"
No you don't. You and I both know that many charchters are inconsistent as fuck but you chose to use and weaponize something, even when Alicent is making completely normal choices.
At least own up to it.
Thats all I fear. I have said too much, but that is still what I have to say.

Has Alicent convinced Aemond that she and Helaena will be going to Storm's End? Borros owes them protection because Aemond and him have made a marriage pact and he's expected to marry Floris. Question is, will Jaehaera reach Storm's End (like in the book), or will she be stranded with Helaena and Alicent in King's Landing?
I'm really trying to understand what makes Aemond confidently leave without taking his family with him. Obviously, he must think there's somewhere they will be going where it's safe. Because from the look of things, especially that forehead touching scene between him and Alicent, I don't think he knows yet that she's a traitor.

If the Dragonseeds aren't at the Gullet, it's going to be a massive letdown.
There's a theory going around that the Dragonseeds won't even be involved in the Battle of the Gullet. Obviously, nothing is set in stone yet, but the mere possibility has me worried.
If this ends up being true, itâs going to be a huge disappointment for the fandom. After the reception to some of the changes last season, I really hoped the writers would learn from those mistakes. I want to stay optimistic, but Ryan has firmly taught me to manage my expectations lol.
That being said... What are your thoughts? Is anyone else hearing this?

Surprisingly I actually enjoyed the trailer despite rhaenyra being the center of everything, what was your opinion of it?
r/HOTDGreens • u/Advent105 • 2d ago
Would hope for at least one scene between these two being King and Queen in name, regardless of circumstances of their marriage.
If i remember right in Season 2 there was only one scene of Helaena visiting Aegon after the battle where he was badly burned with Alicent, and Aegon wasn't even conscious.
In my opinion not filler compared to what other scenes or interactions we got in Season 2.

I've been seeing the talking point of "Alicent and Criston fell out and she hates him and doesn't care about him" especially from people who claim she only had an affair with him because she secretly wants Rhaenyra and is using him. Yes, they had a conflict but it's funny how this scene is never talked about or discussed. No, she never went up to him and had a tearful goodbye (she literally can't especially with her brother being there). But she literally goes outside and is constantly stretching her neck to catch a glimpse of him. Their relationship gets no resolution and that makes it more tragic. Gwayne even notices and this is what starts his suspicion of their relationship. She uses the excuse of going out to say goodbye to her brother but it's clear from his sarcastic tone and looking at Criston that he knows why she was there. It's very obvious to anyone who actually watches the scene.
People might bring up the last scene of her and Rhaenyra and her giving up their location but it's very clear that the writers only meant for her to sacrifice Aegon since that's the only sacrifice they mention in the episode analysis and interviews (yes it's bad writing). So no, I don't think she just gave up her brother and Criston's location to purposely put them in danger. It was stupid but that's clearly not the intent.
