All of these were from a Q&A thread he made:

PSO MENTIONED (if real I’m dying for it to be better than 2)

I had a lot of fun in PSO2 with a friend when it finally came to the west, but new genesis just immediately killed that...

Regardless would prefer a return to form more akin to PSO. Been thinking about loading up one of the private servers recently

Yeah really didn’t vibe with New Genesis, but I had fun with PSO2

Regular pso2 was great. Ngs pretty much ruined the series globally. Amazing character creator but not much else to it.

What the heck is New Genesis and how did it "ruin the series"? I haven't been following this series for a while.

Def should check out Ephienea (PSOBB) or Clementine if you want that PSU fix instead both are still extremely active, doesn't heal the damage NGS has done for the series, but they are really well taken care of private servers.

Hell I'll just take a port of PSO1 with crossplay

You can already have crossplay between Wii/Wii U /GameCube/Xbox/PC on private servers lol.

The original games on Dreamcast were amazing. V3 needs to bring this franchise back to form.

As long as it’s nothing like New Genesis’s development it should be good.

I cannot stress enough that New Genesis feels like the developers themselves didn’t even want to work on the game.

It still feels like a proof of concept at best, and every developer stream would focus on completely superfluous features like the house building system, instead of the core gameplay. Not like, oh we’re just also working on this other system, but instead if you didn’t know any better, you’d say that the house building systems are the actual game, and the real game is just a bonus feature , based on how they presented the game

PSO2 would have been fine if it had launched in the US without 10 years of shit to sift through to find the game....and if it had been less heavily monetized. I'd prefer PSO3 to be a buy to play game, but I don't know if CEOs have really internalized that live service games are not the cash cow they appeared to be.

PSO2 isnt the problem is new genesis thats bad

PSO2 was basically impossible to start when it launched in the US. There were 10 years of updates bolted on to the base game and there was no reason to play like 90% of the content, plus there were like 6 additional currencies and shit to track on top of everything else. It was a nightmare for people who hadn't been playing the JP release for years already.

Damn, seems like the original tweet with his reply got deleted. Anyone got an excerpt of what he said in full originally or was it just as cut and dry as a simple "in-development"?
