Update! Camping and rides are sorted! Thanks everyone!

I had plans to go to EF with the person from Reddit. They convinced me to go GL. They were going to give me a ride and we camp, hang together. And uh. They ghosted me. Soooooo now I have a 1200 dollar ticket, essentials, a strong desire to go to ef for the first time, and no way to get there because I don’t drive and no one to camp with 😅

I live in the Traverse City area; I’m a 27 year old trans man. Mmmmm anyone in my area, or not far for ride purposes wanting to pick up a stray? Get to know me first so you know I’m not a (the bad kind of) weirdo? 😂😂😂

So my original plans got a wrench thrown in, I was supposed to fly into Detroit 1:30pm Wednesday & rent a car there and drive with a few friends to the fest. Plans have changed and I am now the only one in my group coming from Detroit. Looks like the only shuttle passes currently available on Wednesday are departing 9:30am & the only greyhound leaving that day is 10:45am. Unfortunately it’s over $250 to change my flight to an earlier one, still only getting me to DTW at 10:27am. Is anyone possibly:

A.) getting rid of a shuttle pass from Detroit airport for Wednesday 6/24 at 2pm or later? (And also a Monday 6/29?)

B.) is traveling through Detroit & have room in their car for 1 more (I’d have 1 carry on and 1 checked bag and will throw down for gas!)

C.) also in the same boat and looking to go in on a rental car together?

I’m looking for anyway to avoid having to pay $300+ to get me from Detroit to EF and back by Monday evening. I’m camping in group camping so I don’t necessarily need my own vehicle, just need a way from point A to B. Plz help!!

So trying to get home after Forest… Book a 5am Monday official shuttle bus to Chicago Midway. Driver was an hour and 15 mins late, leaving all us stranded in the pouring, freezing rain. And that’s not all, he’s FUCKED UP!! Driving like a god damn maniac, putting all of our lives at risk.

We’re currently stranded on the side of the highway, waiting for a new bus driver…

If someone could please provide the information to some kind of supervisor or official and find out who the driver is for the Chicago Midway 5am shuttle. The whole bus crew has decided we want to SUE THIS FUCKER. He deserves jail time and proper punishment.

Plus all of us are missing our flights home now, which is also going to cost us a ridiculous amount if we can’t get refunded

EDIT: Called the contact number at Bus.com they’ve been informed of the situation. I told them others from that shuttle will be calling about this as well. So if you were on that bus, PLEASE CALL THEM!! Lady on the phone was very empathetic, took my name and order # down. She said I’ll receive an email about a refund and also further action. I also plan on finding an attorney when I get home to sue this motherfucker!

With Electric Forest 2017 getting closer every day, perhaps you're looking for a ride, or even better, you have room in your car for one more. Remember, showing up with less than 2 people in your car will result in a $70 Single Occupant fee. Plus, who doesn't love carpooling to reduce your carbon footprint when attending the festival?

1. Begin your comment with which ticketing package, and weekend you're attending. Format as such: "GA weekend 1"

2. Continue by saying if you need a ride, or have room for someone to join you by saying "need a ride" or "have room". This part is crucial as it will make it easy for someone to "cntrl+f" to easily find your comment!

3. Include when you want to arrive, and leave. State if you have an Early Arrival Pass, as you only need one per vehicle!

4. Include the nearest major city, and state you live in. Use state abbreviations to make searching easier.

5. If you're the one offering a ride, you may include your route. perhaps you're coming from New York and can give someone in Ohio a ride?

Hey guys I’m wondering how much good luck one would need to get a ride from Grand Rapids airport to forest?! I’m trying to find a ride and I don’t think I trust the shuttles so I’m wondering if anyone has any past stories about someone picking them up from the airport to forest AND if anyone could help a girl out to get there if I send it lol it would be my 5itF.

… a lot of the bus was really annoyed, you guys were the loudest ones and were raging so hard while everyone else was tired and trying to recover from long flights and early mornings. We asked you to quiet down a bit, but basically for 6 out of the 7 hours we had to suffer through constant yelling and generally obnoxious behavior, bragging about your stash and stuff. People were looking at you trying to make eye contact. Please don’t do this guys…

Last minute here and may not be able to get a flight. Or might only pay for a flight back but not there. Nevertheless willing to pitch in for gas and take turns driving or whatever. If someone is by chance driving from California. Currently here in Sacramento but I can drive to anywhere in Cali possibly. It’s just me and my fiancé M29 F27.

Any info on any other forms of transportation from Cali to electric forest is great help also.

My friend who is 8itf lives in Erie, Pennsylvania. He doesn’t drive and all his rides to Forest have fallen through. Anyone possibly going through the area or going to be close and have the ability to bring an experienced forester?? He’s GL village and I think might have an extra GL village ticket 🎫 if that helps in anyway.

Absolute shot in the dark, but is anyone driving up to the Forest from the Grand Rapids area tonight around 11 PM or later? My current plan is to frog hop Ubers, but I am definitely nervous about the success of that plan!

This year I am returning to work ground control on camp daytime team! This will be my 7th forest and my first time working. They ask us to get our own transport from the airport and to carpool. Our team is really small so I am putting out my feelers on this reddit as well.

Is anyone coming from Grand Rapids airport on Tuesday the 17th & returning on the following Monday night (after 5pm)? If there are any locals that are around that area, I'd much rather give gas to yall. OR alternatively, are there any busses or shuttles I am not seeing? The ones on the Forest website are sold out.

Need some opinions. I’ll be leaving from either Rapid City, South Dakota or Denver, CO on Monday June 16th.

Camped in GL Village but don’t currently have a vehicle pass. If I arrive Wednesday can I camp in Village tent only? Do I need to buy a separate parking ticket for my vehicle to store on site or pay for offsite parking?

Or I’ve thought about flying DEN>GRR and taking one of the shuttles to and from Forest. Same thing applies, can I camp in a tent only section of good life with just a wristband?

Or anybody have an extra seat along those routes and has a village vehicle pass that would let me jump in with them. Would pay for gas round trip. Let me know and Happy Forest 🌲

Couple (m/f 30s) flying into GR and staying at the Fairfield on the north end of the city.
