Cherrypicking frames
Lets try this again with easy language since some didnt seem to grasp the point before.
We have all seen the downright heinous and evil remarks a certain group has been making about Millie as supergirl based one akward still frame cherrypicked from a 2 minute trailer.
Lets take this cherrypicked frame from Henry as superman. a conventionally handsome dude.
Would you call him handsome in this picture?
And im purposefully not including the context since no one cared to mention it with the millie frame. Thats the point.
No actor looks handsome/beautiful in every frame of every scene in every project they starred in.
So lets respect the people who do their best to portray these iconic characters for fans who arent always as appreciative.

Will they ever understand the difference?
I just read that Zack Snyder will be directing a remake of Escape from NY, and my very immediate reaction was, "Good for him. Seems like something he'd do well with. Might check that out." Conversely, at any point in the future, it seems like ANY news coming out about James Gunn will be met with, "He's going to destroy it! He's the worst thing to happen to cinema! He shouldn't even be ALLOWED to make movies anymore!" I swear, I am not exaggerating.
I wasn't a big fan of Zack Snyder's DC films, although I always looked forward to them coming out and had high hopes every time. I'm glad Warner/DC made the deal with James Gunn and enjoyed Superman quite a bit more under his direction, but I never wished Snyder ill like his fans do Gunn, and I don't get it, and I don't get how they don't see how poisonous it is. They're emulating virtually the same rift in politics right now, which is both amusing and weird. I've read comics for more than 50 years. I've taken the good with the bad. Fans these days, it's like they have to control every part of their world, or a piece of them breaks.
I hope they come to their senses eventually. My feed could use a breather.
