I’m on the edge of my seat. I thought I would get in easily a few months ago but it’s becoming clear that this is a very weird year. I’m getting a bit nervous

Dec 13 '21
I'm rooting for you all, u/jlow939 and u/trusttheprocess321! Wishing you both the best of luck!

u/Leather_Flower_4902 Dec 24 '21
Got in too! Any news on scholarship weekend?
2
Dec 24 '21
i haven’t heard anything abt top scholars or any of that stuff but it is normally in february to march so i would expect details within the next month or 2
3
Dec 24 '21
does anyone know when notifications for the top scholars weekend go out? i was admitted into the honors college last night and didn’t know if they tell you if you’re invited as a top scholar on the decision letter.

In past years, that comes in mid-late Jan.
1
u/PatientZestyclose678 Jan 13 '22
Do you have any more details about your knowledge of the TopScholar's decisions?
1
u/Beneficial-Crazy-928 Jan 13 '22
Nope, other than it's 50 in-state kids and 45 out-of-state.
1
u/PatientZestyclose678 Jan 13 '22
I just wonder if they are withholding Honors decisions for TopScholars, since TopScholars receive automatic admission to the Honors College.
1
u/Beneficial-Crazy-928 Jan 13 '22
Not sure, but I would doubt that because they are trying to attract/recruit these students, and it doesn't seem like telling the early Honors College kids (the pool from which the Top Scholars are generally drawn) but not the Top Scholars that they have been admitted to the Honors Colleges would make sense.

u/Lucky-Roof-5238 Dec 24 '21
Will they notify you if you don’t get in?
3
u/luvmydogs2021 Dec 24 '21
Only acceptances this early. In the past there has been another round of acceptances in January and then all applicants are notified of acceptance or rejection in February.
