I got rejected. All hopes lost for ivy day. Devastated actually.

Why did JHU rose my hopes up by telling me that I had an outstanding application in the missing doc email? Like why you playing with me bruh??? Like why even tell me my application is outstanding in the first place (though they mentioned it was not an indication of a decision.) I'm so done rn.

You might not be the best fit for jhu, but that doesn’t mean you aren’t a great fit for other top schools! Don’t lose hope quite yet. I believe in you :)

I am so sorry to hear this. Johns Hopkins is definitely missing out on a talented person. I definitely realize that it feels tone deaf to be hearing this from a student in college, but the other commenters here are absolutely correct. Every school is looking for different people, so it's completely possible some of the other schools you are waiting on are looking for someone just like you. Given how talented you are, I have no doubt that there is a school that is incredibly excited to have someone like you joining their community.

Have a nice day!

Do not lose hope! My D just got into Colby after waitlists from Grinnell and Kenyon and rejection from Carleton. By the numbers she looked like going into a long series of rejections from there on out. What shock to get the yes today from one of her most selective apps. Keep heart.
