Does anybody know if there are any bands playing at ACL this year that are shoegaze adjacent or like post heavy metal? I don’t really think acl is the typical ground for that at all, but I’m just curious haha thanks:)

So, honestly I’m trying to figure out if I’m going to split sets, or spend another couple hundred bucks just to see Charlie. I would get to see Turnstile again and see Charlie XcX. Who I’ve really become to love since Brat.

when do they post the stage in times for the act?

What are people using for totems this year? I went last year (my first festival). Since then, I’ve been to 3 EDM festivals and I would really love to take a totem this year!

I feel like these rules are a little bit more strict than what I’m used to but I do understand. I want something lightweight and easy since I will probably be holding it the whole time. Any ideas?

This feels like an epic long shot, but my first festival ever happened to be weekend 2 of ACL 2024. I went on a third date with a guy who would eventually become (and still is) my boyfriend!

Hey y’all. This will be my first time to ever go to ACL. I’m pretty hyped and I honey can’t wait. I got a single day ticket for Sunday because I want to see Twentyone Pilots. Like they’re my favorite band so I’m literally goin to just see them.

I’m looking at other bands on the lineup for Sunday, and I’m going to be honest, I don’t know a whole lot of them. Was curious if anyone has some recommendations on the people playing Sunday. Like are there people I should go see? People I hound start listening to? I wanna just experience new music so I’m open to whatever!!

Twenty one pilots vs The xx

I have seen twenty one pilots a total of 4 times, and all 4 times it has been a 5 star show, the first time I saw them live was at ACL in 2015, so imagine how delighted I am to see them more than a decade later at the same festival. The xx is a band I was never a fan for, but I began to listen to their music this year so I could try and see them at Coachella, I ended up really liking their stuff, but ended up seeing other sets during Coachella, so imagine how happy I am to see them on this years lineup along with twenty one pilots, I am pretty hyped, expecting them to play the same day as Charli or lorde, but you don’t always get what you want, they end up being scheduled against each other(most likely). Straight heartbreak seeing this, I will be seeing twenty one pilots tho, as they are my fav band. Just a little rant post, wanted to see if anyone has the same feelings I do

Gone to acl the past +10 years, have always done 2-3 days of GA. Curious if anyone here has done vip and if they felt it was worth it? Alcohol & ac bathrooms seem like the best part of the package. The elevated viewing decks look fun but being first come first serve look like they might get crowded. What yall think?

Hello all! I’m going out to ACL weekend one by myself and would love any tips or advice on where to eat, what sets people are excited for, and any other tips for someone’s first time in Texas and ACL!!!!

Does anyone know how likely it is to get off the waitlist for weekend 2? I just signed up. Or any other options I might have? Doing the 3 day. I was waiting for paycheck :(

It's been a while since I've been to ACL and I'm sure a lot has changed. I didn't see any parking passes on the website, did I just miss it? Am I able to bring portable phone chargers? Camel Pack? Sunscreen? Deodorant or wipes? Hydration packs? Backpack? Blankets? Is it Cashless? Is it better to wander around or have planned set to see. I'm going weekend 1 Friday. The one set we are excited to see is Skrillex. We plan on going on a trip while we watch. We don't plan on being in the crowd much, just want to vibe and hang out. Thanks for the help!
