i wonder why the creators decided to add ani. is it because clay became an unreliable narrator or was it just for fun ?? she literally came out of nowhere and they didn’t even make her likeable. you could tell they tried to make her sort of witty and sassy, but she just came off as rude and irritating. is there even any ani fans in this whole community who can explain why she was introduced or defend her annoying behaviour ??

That is a big deal IF she gets a Best Actress nomination before even the other female actress in 13rw alumni that played Hannah, Jessica. Hell even guys like Miles, Dylan, Devin, Brandon havent gotten an Oscar nomination yet.

I don’t know if this is a hot take or something. But there was no reason for the show to last 4 seasons. Remember that the show started out as an adaptation of a book. The book never had any sequels.

Now, even though Season 2 is my least favorite season, I at least understand why it was made considering how popular and successful Season 1 ended up being. But they should’ve stopped right there instead of ending the season on a cliffhanger. I don’t think anyone was asking for 2 additional seasons.

it's like: i feel terrible about everything that happened to her, and every single word that i am going to say has nothing to do with what happened to her whatsoever and in no way am i trying to erase her trauma when i say this. jessica was a self-centered and insensitive character. before everything went down she was one of those passive aggressive mean girls in highschool. in the second season, it really irked me when she lashed out on alex's birthday party, that just came off selfish.

she's getting away with it because she's strong willed and a feminist. that's a great trait to have in the series but many truths can exist at once and so i'll say i agree with you jessica, f* the patriarchy and you are a bitch at times.

Was she unnecessary? Sure. You could argue that she was poorly written and her character didn’t really fit in.

I know Devin was filming the western/horror movie in 2018-19 that came out in 2020 and then some apple tv movie with tom hanks. Did s4 of Tyler just feel like they cut scenes or it felt like something was off.

S4 it felt like the vibe they had for most of their scenes(before the prom and final episode) felt like Tyler was some surrogate brother figure.

The writing felt off when Tyler asked her out. Before Tyler asked her out…..they had this surrogate brother / sister dynamic. The prom stuff and just “lets see our boos” at final episode……felt like a giant 180 turn.

i haven’t fully watched 13 reasons why but as a suicidal person who has tried to go out in several ways, i thought about how hannah baker killed herself and i watched the video on how she did it. netflix shouldnt have had removed the scene because the moment i saw how it happened, the pain she expressed and the fear of the pain she was doing to herself, it scared the living shit out of me and it sent me to a panic attack (also bc i have hemophobia) and it honestly scared me enough not to try and continue to unalive myself. the emotion was so raw. it scared me. because it reminded me of my recent attempt and i was crying like hannah.

idk why but i felt s1 would have been too short, glad we got more seasons

yall say that some of hannah’s reasons were so “small” and “dramatic” but that’s not the point. the point is how everything kept happening simultaneously in the same time line one event followed by another. this obviously felt like such a burden to hannah as it would’ve to anyone else.

when u’re already in pain and more- even if they’re small- hurtful things keep happening it creates such pressure on you as it did to hannah that people fail to realize

also why does justin foley get the same or often times more hate than bryce walker??? i feel like this shouldn’t even be a debate. people defend bryce walker just because he appeared to be apologetic and was willing to change just before he died.

unbelievable how people defend bryce but draw the line at jessica or alex. dare i say the only genuinely bad people in the show were: bryce walker, montgomery de la cruz and marcus cole. they were purely evil. while there were other bad characters like andy baker, mr walker etc these were absolutely bad along w taylor and kenneth

Idk if it's just me that noticed this but after season2 or 3 the plot just went astray a bit and the show practically lost its plot.

like initially it was js supposed to be sbout hannah baker and why she killed herself, about bullying and mistreatment etc but going forward, these same high school teens suddenly turned into murderers?? like what was the point. they js kept killing and killing. hannah, jeff, bryce and monty. (also i feel like they should’ve shown monty’s death, we never saw him suffer and face the consequences of his terrible actions) i’m losing track here but i don’t understand why many ppl don’t see monty as a rapist too he clearly raped tyler and owned up to it asw… but anw this show should’ve stopped at s2. the writers dragged it for no reason at all bryce’s back story and “struggles” w family and hill crest were so not needed imo

Idk why I am scared to watch the rest of it I mean I wanna do watch ofc and I am going to but I just don't know how I feel after watching it uk?
